My Final Rite of Passage to Adulthood

It's finally over.  The negotiating, that is.  I'm writing some big checks this weekend and am one step closer to becoming a homeowner for the first time.  Yikes.  My emotions are mixed.  Excitement and fear crash over me like waves of the deep blue ocean.  I can never tell which one is coming.

Overall, I am excited.  My family and friends have been really supportive and reassure me that I can handle this.  Amidst the stress from work, I am trying to maintain perspective.  It's not easy, but so far I haven't had any breakdowns.

It will be weird to say goodbye to apartment living.  Who will help me fix stuff when it breaks?  DAD!!!  Now that I think of it, he will probably be more helpful than my landlord (a.k.a. Cheech --- or is he more like Chong?).

I'm not going to get ahead of myself.  First things first --- get my finances and paperwork in order and start purging junk so that I don't have to move it to the next place!!!
